Dominic Solanke was not part of the Tottenham squad against Fulham on Sunday afternoon after being sent home.
Solanke, who would have expected to start, arrived at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ahead of the game.
However, when the teams were announced, Solanke was not part of the starting line-up or substitutes.
That raised concerns over a possible injury to the Spurs star, but Ange Postecoglou revealed the real reason.
According to Postecoglou, the former Liverpool striker was suffering from illness.
“He came in today and he wasn’t the best, under the weather.
“We sent him home, and hopefully, he’ll make a full recovery and be ready to go for the next one.”
Tottenham’s next game is a Thursday night trip to his former club Bournemouth.
