Done Deal: Super Falcons Defender Joins Australian Club Perth Glory

Australian club Perth Glory have announced the signing of Super Falcons defender Onyinyechi Zogg.

Zogg signed a one-year contract with the A-League Women’s side.

The 27-year-old previously played for Swiss club, Servette.

The composed centre-back is now looking forward to opening a new chapter in her career with Glory.

“Once my manager told me about the possibility of going to Perth Glory, I jumped at the opportunity,” she told the club’s official website.

“I have heard so much about the quality and level of the ALW and always wanted to experience it and now to be able to do this with Perth Glory is such a fantastic opportunity.

“I’m really looking forward to meeting my teammates and Coach in person and to being an effective contributor to the club’s success.”

Glory Head Coach Stephen Peters believes that Zogg’s quality and experience will significantly bolster the club’s backline this season.

“Onyinyechi is a really technical and athletic defender who has performed at the very highest level in Europe and we are thrilled to have secured her services,” he said.

“We certainly feel that she has the potential to make a major impression in the ALW this year.
