Super Eagles forward Taiwo Awoniyi is in the running for Nottingham Forest’s Goal of the Month award for February.
Awoniyi’s superb strike in Nottingham Forest’s 2-0 victory against West Ham United was one of the five goals nominated for the individual accolade.
The 26-year-old gave Nuno Espirito Santo’s side the lead in the encounter played at the City Ground.
The striker controlled superbly before turning and finishing clinically towards the end of the first half.
It would be recalled that Awoniyi was the first Nottingham Forest player to win the award this season.
The former Union Berlin player won the Goal of the Month and Player of the Month in August.
He has scored six goals in 15 league appearances for the Tricky Trees this season.
