Cape Verde took the lead through Jamiro Monteiro on 17 minutes.
Ghana fought back with Mohammed Ashimeru slotting the ball home from outside the box.
The goal was however ruled out for offside.
The Black Stars finally levelled through Alexander Djiku in the 56th minute.

Garry Rodrigues won the game for Cape Verde with a cool finish in stoppage time.
The Blues Sharks moved top of Group B following the win.
Cape Verde will face Mozambique in their game on Friday.
Chris Hughton’s Ghana will be up against the Pharaohs of Egypt.
