Osimhen Predicted Napoli’s Serie A Title Win —Zambo Anguissa

Indomitable Lions of Cameroon midfielder, André-Frank Zambo Anguissa, has revealed that club teammate, Victor Osimhen, predicted Napoli’s Serie A title win.

Napoli ended their quest for a first league title since 1990 by emerging champions this season.

Osimhen played a key role in the success as he netted 26 goals.

The Super Eagles striker emerged top scorer in the Italian topflight, which made him the first African to achieve the feat.

Anguissa, who joined Napoli permanently last summer, expressed delight for Osimhen’s huge contribution to the success of the club.

“He predicted the Scudetto for me at the beginning of the season, so I’m happy he scored all those goals,” Anguissa said in an interview with The Athletic via Tutto Napoli.

“He (Osimhen) said to me, ‘Trust me, I’ll do my best to win the Scudetto.’ He was right. He’s a great friend.”

Osimhen continued his impressive scoring run as he bagged a brace for the Super Eagles, in their 3-2 win against Sierra Leone in the 2023 AFCON qualifier on Sunday.

The win saw the Eagles quality for next year’s AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire with a game to spare.
