AC Milan Interested In Super Eagles Star

Serie A giants AC Milan have been expressed interest in Super Eagles and Villarreal Samuel Chukwueze and have begun contacts over a potential summer deal.

It is likely that Milan head coach Stefano Pioli will ask for some improvements to be made in the attacking department, especially on the right wing given he ended up moving Brahim Diaz there because he was dissatisfied with the performance of Junior Messias and Alexis Saelemaekers.

According to Sky Sports international reporter and football transfers expert Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan have already made contacts for Chukwueze.

“AC Milan are very interested in signing Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal. At the moment the asking price is ‘very high’ but Milan are trying and have started the first contacts.”

Chukwueze amassed 13 goals plus 11 assists in 50 games cross all competitions last season for the Yellow Submarines.

The 24-year-old with 11 goal contributions in 37 LaLiga games, scoring six goals and providing five assists.

The winger is expected to be named in the Super Eagles squad for the 2023 AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone in Monrovia, Liberia.
