Former Super Eagles winger, Tijani Babangida has warned the Golden Eaglets to avoid making unnecessary mistakes at the backline if they are to overcome South Africa in today’s 2023 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations.

Recall that both teams will be going for the three points in a bid to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition.

Having lost 1-0 to Morocco, Babangida in a chat with Completesports.com said that the team must fight back and ensure victory they pick the maximum points against South Africa.

“This is a game the Golden Eaglets can’t afford to lose after failing to beat Morocco.

“This is a must win game for Nigeria if they are to still dream of playing at the FIFA U-17 World Cup.

“The players must avoid making unnecessary mistakes at the back and they must take their goal scoring chances.”
