Meanwhile, West Brom host Swansea while Middlesbrough welcome Preston in promotion push

There is midweek action this week in the EFL Championship – English domestic football’s second tier – as battles at the top of the table to try and reach the Premier League heat up. On Wednesday evening (13 March) table toppers Norwich host Hull, while West Brom welcome Swansea and Middlesbrough take on Preston with both home sides still very much in the fight to go up to the top tier.

First things first

Before you go any further, head on over to the Oddsshark website, find your favourite betting site and get your own account up and running using your credit card. As a new customer and with the EFL Championship campaign now in its final stretch, there should be a wide range of promotions and special offers available to you.

Where should I be investing my money?

First up, the clash between Norwich and Hull at Carrow Road. The Canaries have won their last four league outings in a row and sit two points clear at the top of the table – they are the favourites to win the EFL Championship league title and are priced at just 1.72 to do so.

Hull, meanwhile, come into this game still with an outside chance of reaching the play-off places. The Tigers sit just five points off the top six, but are out at 21.00 to finish there come the end of the season.

And it is Norwich who come into this match as the clear favourites to take all three points. You can back the league leaders to win at just 1.60, while Hull are out at 5.75 to do the same – a draw is priced in the middle at 4.33, according to Oddsshark.

We are expecting this to be a comfortable evening’s work for the table toppers. A 3-1 win for Norwich is priced competitively at 12.00, thereby offering more than a ten-fold return on any investment, while you can more than triple your money by backing a combo bet of a Norwich win, coupled with both teams to score, at 3.10.

West Brom host Swansea needing win

On the same evening, West Brom play their first match after sacking coach Darren Moore when they welcome Swansea City to the Hawthorns. The Baggies have taken just one point from their last three league games and sit fourth in the table – they are at 3.25 to be promoted back to the Premier League.

Swansea, just like Hull, have left themselves with a very slim chance of reaching the play-off places. The Swans are currently eight points off the top six and are priced high at 34.00 to finish there come May.

And it is West Brom who come into this contest as the overwhelming favourites to collect three vital points. You can back the home side to get back to winning ways at just 1.90, while Swansea are out at 4.33 to do the same – a draw is priced in the middle at 3.75.

But given the poor recent form of West Brom we think this one could end up all square. A 1-1 draw is priced at 6.50, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$32.50 pay out, while you can double your money by backing under 2.5 goals in the game at 2.00.

Middlesbrough can record important win against Preston

And finally, Middlesbrough host Preston looking for three more points in their promotion push. Boro have taken just one point from their last two games but are fifth in the table and are priced at 4.33 to win promotion to the Premier League.

Preston, by way of comparison, are uneaten in their last 10 league encounters and are making a late push to reach the play-off places. The side are priced at 11.00 to manage a top six finish this term.

And while the betting is relatively close, it is Middlesbrough who come into the match as the favourites to take the points. You can more than double your money by backing the home side to win at 2.15, while Preston are out at 3.90 to pick up a vital victory away from home – a draw is priced in the middle at 3.30.

And we think that Preston’s excellent recent form may just continue. A narrow, 1-0 win for the away side is priced at 9.00, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$45 pay out, while a combo bet of a Preston win, coupled with a “No” to both teams scoring, comes in at 6.00.
