Herders from the Babanla community in Kwara State’s Ifelodun Local Government Area have been sent packing.
Babawale Zaid Afolabi, spokesman for the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Kwara state command, made the announcement in Ilorin on Monday.
He said “The suspected herdsmen entered the community from an unknown destination with the intention of settling down in Babanla community on Sunday.
“Immediately they were sighted, some members of the community alerted the NSCDC office, the corps personnel swung into action and they were moved to the office.
” Their vehicle was thoroughly searched but no exhibit was found in the vehicle.
” The herdsmen were sent back, officers supervised and escorted them out of the community,” the spokesman added.
