Recently nominated in the ‘Best Video Director’ category at AFRIMMA, British-Nigerian director, Daps has been deep in his bag as of late, coming out with some incredible videos, such as Lil Uzi Vert’s “Sanguine Paradise” and, now, Migos‘ Quality Control record, “Frosted Flakes”

Released as part of the Control The Streets compilation album from the record label, Quality Control, “Frosted Flakes” is a typical Migos tune — one that sees the Grammy-nominated trio bragging about their wealth and opulent lifestyle.

Enlisting Daps for the music video’s direction, “Frosted Flakes” emerges as a thrilling heist clip. The video begins with Takeoff, Quavo and their partner planning a heist on the rooftop of their own hotel, later joined by Mike Epps and a female companion, who aid with their grand plans.

Through the video, we see Quavo and Takeoff successfully pull off the heist, stealing bags full of cash and bars of gold. Unfortunately, when they rendezvous with their lookout partner, they realise that they have been double-crossed, and all their efforts wasted.

As is Daps’ style, we’re able to hear all the action going on in the video — from gunshots to Quavo and Takeoff packing the goods. Along with some riveting dialogue and a Hollywood cameo, the music video feels a lot like an action sequence out of a really good heist film.
