Back in April, Mr Eazi teased a team-up with Colombian superstar, J Balvin. Well, now that we’ve finally heard “COMO UN BEBÉ” — off J Balvin and Bad Bunny’s joint album, Oasis — Mr Eazi assures us that he and the Grammy-nominated star have more songs in the works.
Speaking with notable OAP, Ebro Darden on the Hot 97 show, Mr Eazi tells us that he and J Balvin have many more collaborations coming up, explaining that the Colombian sensation has become an intrinsic part of his music-making process.
Adopting the role of A&R for Don Eazi, J Balvin gives the banku singer pertinent advice on what sounds good, what to omit and even helps the Nigerian act in looking for the right collaborators — which, sometimes, might just be himself.

Over the past year, Mr Eazi’s career has expanded rapidly, an achievement which he and the music geeks at Hot 97 partially attribute to streaming platforms and the general accessibility the internet has formed.
However, as Mr Eazi also notes, artists in countries with limited access to data and WiFi are at a disadvantage to their counterparts, who are able to conveniently share their music to listeners who can stream or download it with ease.
Noticing this is a hindrance for African artists, in particular, Mr Eazi also announced a new deal with Africa’s biggest telecommunications network, MTN, so their customers can watch videos on the EmPawa YouTube platform at zero data cost.
With every new venture, whether it’s to do with the music business or a new collaboration, Mr Eazi never fails to impress, and this is exactly why, globally, he is one of the most revered Nigerian musicians around today.
