Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi were in action for Nottingham Forest whose winning run was ended by Newcastle United in Sunday’s Premier League game.
Forest went into the game looking to secure a fourth consecutive win but fell 3-1 despite taking the lead.
Aina played for 90 minutes while Awoniyi came on with just two minutes left to play.
Murillo gave Forest the lead in the 21st minute but nine minutes into the second half Alexander Isak equalised for Newcastle.
In the 72nd minute Joelinton put Newcastle 2-1 ahead before Harvey Barnes bagged the Magpies’ third on 83 minutes.
Forest are temporarily in third place on 19 points after 11 games while Newcastle are in eight place on 18 points.
At the Tottenham stadium, struggling Ipswich Town stunned Tottenham Hotspur 2-1.
It is the newly promoted club’s first win in the Premier League this season while Spurs slumped to their fifth loss.
