Super Eagles head coach, Jose Peseiro has expressed his disappointment after the Super Eagles missed out of top position in Group A at the 2023 Africa of Cup Nations.
Peseiro’s side finished second in the group behind the Nzalang Nacional of Equatorial Guinea.
Both countries finished with seven points each but Juan Micha’s side had a better goal difference.
“We’re ready for meet any team,”Peseiro said in a post-match interview.

“I am not 100% happy because we deserved to finish top of the group.
“We deserved to beat Equatorial Guinea and then we would have had nine points.
“But it was not an easy match against Guinea-Bissau. The other team tried to get their first victory in the competition.
“We created the chances to win by more than a goal.”
The Super Eagles will meet the second-place team in Group C in the Round of 16 at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium on Saturday.
