A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adamu Garba, has reacted to the launch of a new social media platform, Threads.

Naija News reports that over 10 million users including Nigerians have joined the new social media platform within hours of its launch.

Threads, owned by Meta which is founded by Mark Zuckerberg, has seen over 10 million people sign up after new strict measures introduced by Elon Musk on Twitter.

Accounts were already said to have been active for both Nigerian and foreign celebrities such as Ebuka, Funke Akindele, Adekunle Gold, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira and Hugh Jackman, as well as media outlets including Naija News, NTA News, The Washington Post and The Economist.

Reacting to the development in a tweet post on Thursday, Garba, also owns a digital platform, said he is not bothered about the launch of Threads.

The former presidential aspirant asserted that Nigeria will soon join the global platform market space with his platform. Crowwe.

He wrote: “Let them thread or Tweet, we don’t mind. The market is large enough for all of us. All I know is that Nigeria will soon join the global platform market space with Crowwe…..in just few days!”
