Andrew Nice Omininikoron has been remanded in custody till April 11, 2021, by a magistrate court in Yaba, Lagos.
Omininikoron is the driver of the BRT bus that was stopped in relation with the death of Bamise Ayanwole, a 22-year-old woman.
After the 22-year-old fashion designer’s family reported her missing on February 27, Omininikoron was apprehended.
On February 26, Bamise reportedly boarded a BRT bus from Chevron Bus Stop in Ajah to Oshodi approximately 7 p.m.
The fashion designer was alleged to have seen that the driver did not pick up other passengers at following bus stations along the route during the voyage.
Distressed, she texted a buddy and left voice messages explaining her problem. Her friend and family members had not heard from her since then, and she was eventually reported missing.
According to the Lagos State Police Command, she was discovered dead on Carter Bridge on Monday.
The bus driver, Nice Andrew Omininikoron, was apprehended by the authorities and has since remained in their custody.
