Last year, Winston Duke became a household name thanks to his scene-performance in Marvel’s Oscar-winning hit, Black Panther. For his character, M’Baku, Duke went with an Igbo accent, and he pulled it off so well that Nigerians were convinced he was an Igbo man.
For his latest movie, Us, which has a promotional pact with Spotify, the Tobagonian actor took to the streaming app to share a playlist of some of his favourite songs. On this playlist, Duke appreciates the beauty of Nigerian sound, once again, including a bunch of our favourite Nigerian stars.
Featuring tracks such as Starboy’s “Soco” and Burna Boy’s “Dangote”, Winston Duke flaunts his eclectic taste in music on this wholesome playlist. Joining J. Cole’s “Middle Child” and Koffee’s “Toast”, these are the Nigerian bops that have the Winston Duke seal of approval.
