The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, on Tuesday night confirmed it recorded additional 11 new cases of coronavirus in Lagos State.
The development is coming after the agency earlier confirmed 19 cases on Tuesday.
As at 9:20pm, Nigeria confirmed 14 cases in Lagos, 1 in Kano, 2 in FCT, 1 in Akwa-Ibom and 1 in Edo State.
However, on Tuesday evening, the agency on its Twitter handle confirmed 11 new cases in Lagos State.
This means Lagos State on Tuesday April 14, 2020, recorded 25 cases, making it the highest number of cases recorded since its first COVID-19 case was announced.
Nigeria now has 373 confirmed cases.
The NCDC wrote, “Eleven new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Lagos State.
“As at 11:00 pm 14th April there are 373 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria.
“99 have been discharged, with 11 deaths,” it added.
