Kicking off the year with a win at the Soundcity MVP awards, where she was rightfully crowned the ‘Best New Act’, Teni has maintained her stranglehold on the Nigerian music industry, which she earned through her hit singles, “Askamaya” and “Case”.

Not only is Teni popularly lauded at home for her unbridled musical talents, but she is also gaining recognition internationally, as she joins Burna Boy as the second Nigerian artist to be hailed by YouTube as an ‘Artist on the Rise’.

As the latest ‘Artist on the Rise’, Teni gains a feature on YouTube’s archival playlist, which commemorates past artists who have earned the title. “Case”, Teni’s most viewed video on YouTube, has been selected as the showcase video and will be promoted on YouTube internationally.

This accomplishment couldn’t have come at a better time for the up-and-coming star; she recently kicked off her rather ambitious world tour, so having her music pushed globally by the video streaming giant will only elevate her further during this crucial time in her career.
