Wizkid & R2Bees Reunite For Another Solid Collaboration, 'Straight From Mars'

At the start of the year, Wizkid announced that he would be gone until March, taking a break from releasing music for some well-deserved rest and relaxation.

Well, March is finally here, and as fans eagerly await the #ReturnOfStarboy, Ghanain hip-hop duo, R2Bees are giving us a little taste of what the new Wizkid has to offer, featuring him on “Straight From Mars” — the first track off their new album, Site 15.

Produced by Killmatic, “Straight From Mars” is a jiggy song with a mellow vibe and a subtle assemblage of ’80s disco inspirations sprinkled onto the beat. Wizkid opens the track with his sweet chorus, returning to our airwaves with an incredibly refined sound.

On the track, Wizkid and R2Bees play the laid-back admirers, using their cool song to seduce pretty women. Wizkid adorns his chorus with the boastful affirmation that their collaborative sound is incomparable — an undisputed fact, given that Wizkid and R2Bees only release fire.
