President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly approved the sack of 35 aides working with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.
According to reports, the affected aides are senior special assistants, special assistants, personal assistants, technical assistants, and others whose appointments took effect in August.
They are expected to get their disengagement letters later on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, for the third consecutive week, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Wednesday presided over the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
He presided over the last week’s meeting while President Muhammadu Buhari was in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, attending the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Summit with other world leaders.
The President, who is presently in London, United Kingdom, on a private visit, will return to the country on November 17.
