PDP DEPUTY NATIONAL CHAIRMAN (North): Sen. Dr Suleiman Nazif Is The Right Candidate

The PDP National Youth Vanguard, one of the most pivotal and influential youth organisations in Nigeria, has declared support for Senator Dr. Suleiman Nazif for the vacant position of Deputy National Chairman, North of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The position of the youth group was contained in a communique issued at the end of its zonal meeting in Bauchi, Bauchi State and jointly signed by Ambassador Bala Aboki, the National Coordinator and Hon. Babangida Ishaq Maliya, Zonal Cordinator, North East of the group.

In the Communique, the group described Senator Nazif as a loyal and hard working party man, saying that Senator Nazif will not only represent the region at the National Secretariat of the Party, but will work assiduously for the success of the Party at all levels.

The communique read in part, “Senator Suleiman Nazif is a Grassroot and action politician, a friend and a defender of the youth. He has left indelible footprints in most of the offices he held in the past and will continue to support the progress of the PDP”. The group said.

The group called on all the leaders of the Party in the zone and at the national level to support Senator Nazif and urged Party organs to immediately reconstitute the necessary meetings of the party that will ratify the appointment of the Senator.

Senator Nazif was the Former chairman, Senate committee on Labour and Employment and
Chairman, Senate committee on INEC.

He was also the Deputy Chairman, Senate committee on Estebilishment and public Service amongst others.

Senator Nazif was also the President of All youth Federation between 2001 to 2002 and later become National Assembly Member in 2003. He later contested and won the Senatorial seat after attempting the Gubernatorial seat in the 2011 general elections in Bauchi State. He was re elected Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2015, a position he held until the general election in 2019.

Therefore, in the spirit of generation-next as so espoused by the present PDP, let all hands be on deck to support Sen. Suleiman Nazif. The youths, party elders and women, this is an ample opportunity to oncemore resonate and enshrine youthful vigour into PDP leadership machinery.

Let us fellow Sen. Nazif…for the youths are coming on board.
