Davido & Zlatan Join Up-And-Comer, Yovi For New Single, ‘It’s Allowed’

Although he’s just an up-and-coming act, Yovi has managed to bag some of the most sought-after features in the game. After lining up Wizkid for his first single of the year, “Holy Water”, Yovi has now enlisted Zlatan and Davido for his latest offering, “It’s Allowed”.

Solidly produced by Rexxie, “It’s Allowed” is a catchy tune that has all the makings of an afropop hit — from the song’s subject matter, to its Davido feature. Fiokee even adorns the infectious beat with his skilled guitar playing, which is given ample room to shine as the song closes. 

On “It’s Allowed”, the trio sings about needing to make money, demanding that they’re paid what they’re owed and promising to shower their lovers with cash. This is another solid track from Yovi, who seems intent on being the next big star, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see it happen.
