Armed bandits Saturday kidnapped four Turkish expatriates at a local drinking joint in Gbale village, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara state.
The incident occurred at about 10pm while the men were having fun at the local joint in the village.
The identities of the four abducted Turkish expatriates were given as: Yasin Colk (33); Ergun Yurdakul (35); Senerapal (40); and Seyit Keklik (25), all working for Instabul Concrete Limited in the village.
Spokesman of the state police command, Ajayi Okasanmi, confirmed the abduction of the expatriates.
He said the state commissioner of police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun, has already dispatched a team under Operation Puff Adder to the area to commence immediate rescue operation of the expatriates and arrest of the hoodlums.
Okasanmi said although efforts of the police were yielding positive results, no arrest had been made so far, at the time of this report.
