The Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room has called on the Acting Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, to investigate the allegation of police overreach during the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
The Convener of the Situation Room, Clement Nwankwo, described the conduct of the operatives as a breach of fundamental human rights of citizens in the exercise of their franchise.
The group appealed to politicians to be more committed to due process in future elections
