The suspects after they were nabbed
Operatives of the Oyo State Police Command have recovered 10,000 live cartridges while arresting four suspects in the process.
A team of SARS arrested the four suspects, Adekunmi Abimbola, Abel Kojo, Mukaila Ariyo and Ade Adebayo on July 23, at their hideout at Oke Bola.
Ten thousand pieces of live cartridges, an unregistered Toyota Sienna LE minibus and a Toyota Camry with registration number, Lagos GGE 979 FT, were recovered from the suspects.
However, while speaking with the Nigerian Tribune, leader of the suspects, Abimbola, denied he supplied the cartridges to criminals, saying he only sold them to hunters.
Abimbola, who admitted what he was doing was illegal, said there are many hunters who buy the cartridges from him for hunting.
