Last year, Santi released a trio of brilliant tracks, “Icy”, “Freaky” and “Rapid Fire” — levelling up every time, as each single soared higher than the last. In particular, the final track of the trifecta, “Rapid Fire” has already achieved anthem status, leaving Santi fans eager for more.

Finally, the multifarious artist, who seems destined to be one of 2019’s undeniable breakout stars, has delivered his first single of the year, “Sparky”.

Whereas the collaborative masterpieces, “Icy”, “Freaky” and “Rapid Fire”, saw him bring together a rather eclectic mix of artists, Santi flies solo on “Sparky”, flaunting an undiluted two minutes of his unique and striking rap style.

Produced by the talented Odunsi (The Engine), “Sparky” is an even-tempered track with a buoyant beat that features a sprinkling of keyboard magic from Le Mav. On the track, Santi rolls between violence and comradery, as he narrates teaming up with his dearests on a vengeful mission.

As the song premiered a full eight months ago on Drake’s OVO Sound Radio, we are incredibly happy to finally have “Sparky” at our streaming pleasure. And since the rising star is set to drop his debut album sometime this year, this was the perfect track to get us pumped for that eventual release.
