In July last year, DMW rapper, Dremo dropped his first-ever body of work, Codename – a star-studded, 9-track EP. Following that, he cleverly released a video for one of the project’s standout songs, “Kpa”, and then followed up with a video for another, “Bigger Meat“
Now, he’s come again with a video for the EP’s intro track, “Nobody”, where he’s thankful for how far he’s come in his career.
As one of the few rappers who actually raps, there are a lot of eyes on him, and he definitely didn’t disappoint with his EP. In light of its success, the retrospective video is very timely, as he’s looking back on his come up, and is super thankful for where the journey has led him.
On the song, he raps about all the hardships he faced while trying to make it in the music industry. He talks about being swindled and having to hand out his demo tape on the streets before his story changed when he got signed to Davido‘s label.
In the video, we get a visual representation of all the things he’s rapping about, going through the different stages before he achieved success. Dremo watches on the sidelines like a ghost as all of this unfolds, before he reaches a dark destination at the end of the video.
