Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos has sentenced cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, to six months in jail with no option of fine.
The judgment was delivered on Friday, April 12.
The controversial cross-dresser pleaded guilty to the charge of naira abuse.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) filed six counts of money laundering and naira abuse against him on Thursday, April 4. Bobrisky was arraigned in court on Friday, April 5, on a six-count charge, including abuse of the Naira and money laundering.
While the court dismissed the money laundering charges, Bobrisky was convicted of Naira abuse after confessing to the crime.
