On Wednesday, service chiefs appeared before the Senate Joint Committee, which includes the Army, Navy, Defence, and Airforce committees, to participate in the investigation of the killing of 17 soldiers in a Delta State community.
Recall that some military personnel who were on a peacekeeping mission in the state were last Thursday ambushed and murdered in Okuama community in the Ughelli South Local Government Area.
Given the sensitivity of the matter, the Chairman of the joint committee, Ahmed Lawan, disclosed that the investigative hearing will be held behind closed doors.
