AFCON 2023: Nwabali starts – Super Eagles lineup unchanged for Angola duel

Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has been named in the starting line-up for the Super Eagles’ quarter-final clash with the Palancas Negras of Angola.

Nwabali sustained a mild ligament injury in Nigeria’s Round of 16 victory against Cameroon but has been passed fit to face Angola.

Head coach, Jose Peseiro kept faith with other starters from the win against the Indomitable Lions.

Ola Aina and Zaidu Sanusi will play as right and left-wing backs.

Vice-captain William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi and Calvin Bassey will maintain their partnership in central defence.

Frank Onyeka and Alex Iwobi will also take charge of midfield duty.

Napoli star, Victor Osimhen will lead the attack with Ademola Lookman and Moses Simon supporting him from the wings.
