Wale is definitely trying to get fans excited for his upcoming album, dropping a new song every week this month. He kicked things off with the pensive “Daylight”, which was followed by “Gemini”, and now, he’s released a jazzy and light-hearted bop, “09 Folarin“.
Against a fast-paced beat, Wale delivers an expectedly strong performance. He raps for the entirety of song, foregoing a hook, showing off his oft-overlooked prowess. As the beat changes, Wale rides the new rhythm, seamlessly switching up his flow.
Even though it’s been two years since his last album, Shine, Wale hasn’t left fans hanging, dishing out a bunch of solid EPs and tracks. Well, if the past year has proven anything, new music from Wale is always great, so we’re definitely looking forward to his album.
