Gov Rotimi Akeredolu
Gov Rotimi Akeredolu has written to the state House of Assembly to extend his medical leave, leaving his deputy, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa in charge.

The Speaker of the Assembly, Rt Hon Olamide Oladiji, confirmed the receipt of the letter in Akure, the state capital.
Oladiji applauded Akeredolu for adhering to the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, particularly section 190, expressing gratitude for his speedy recovery and expressing hope for his swift return.
Governor Akeredolu confirmed in his letter that Deputy Governor, Hon. Lucky Aiyedatiwa would continue in the role of acting governor “until there is a written declaration to the contrary.”
