Former Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State was released from the Makurdi office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after about 10 hours of interrogation by the commission.
Former Governor Ortom had reported at the EFCC Zonal Office at about 10am Tuesday on receiving an invitation to respond to allegations of corruption in his eight years governing Benue State.
The former Benue governor was said to have driven out of the EFCC office in a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), at about 7.55pm in the company of friends and associates.
