About a week ago, Runtown dropped his hotly anticipated EP, Tradition. While fans expected the project to come today, the afropop star surprised everyone by releasing it a week early, and he has now come through with a vibrant video for one of the standout tracks, “Emotions”

With “Emotions”, Runtown presents an evocative song that also makes listeners want to turn up — thanks to the infectious Spellz-produced beat. He sings that his lover is taking up space in his mind, and that he really needs to know what she wants from him.

Speaking to Konbini about the song, Runtown said:

“On “Emotions”, I was singing about letting your guard down and expressing love to a person without minding how it makes you look.

Vulnerability is rare – not because we don’t feel it, but because we don’t always allow ourselves to express it. I guess it’s resonating with people because it speaks to their inner emotions.”

For the accompanying video, Runtown performs the song, while all the different emotions he’s dealing with pops up onscreen. All this takes place inbetween shots of the singer being surrounded by scantily-clad women, who are all turning up to the infectious song.
