Two years ago, we learnt that Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde will be starring in an upcoming Yemi Amodu film, Shadow Parties, following her stellar performances in powerhouse performances in Moses Inwang’s Alter Ego and Kunle Afolayan’s Tribunal.
Now, we finally have more information about the film, which is set to also star other Nollywood powerhouses such as Sola Sobowale, Jide Kosoko as well as Hollywood actor, Lucien Morgan.
Directed by seasoned Yoruba filmmaker, Yemi Amodu, the film brings together a robust cast including lots of heavyweights like Toyin Abraham, Sola Sobowale, Jide Kosoko, Yemi Blaq, Segun Arinze and many more, as well as other Hollywood actors such as the aforementioned Lucien Morgan.
Omotola will be playing one of the lead roles in Shadow Parties, which follows political endeavours which later transform into a dirty business of arms and ammunition, causing lots of innocent deaths.
The film tells the story about a communal clash in between Aremu’s (played by Ken Erics) town Aje, which neighbours Iludun, where his wife, Arike (Toyin Abraham) was born, and also lost her parents.
While there hasn’t been any information about the release date, we’re expecting the film soon and are super excited to watch!
