Oyindamola Martins, the brother of late Bimbo Ogbonna, wife of a celebrity car dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, popularly known as IVD Autos, has shared more detail about his sister’s toxic marriage and death.
IVD And Bimbo Reportedly Took A Blood Covenant
KanyiDaily had reported that Bimbo was hospitalized after getting into a scuffle with her husband and setting herself ablaze at their mansion in Megamound Estate, Lekki, Lagos.
It was gathered that Bimbo set herself ablaze after being assaulted by her husband while confronting him over the constant beatings she receives from him since their marriage.
IVD escaped with minor injuries while Bimbo suffered severe burns and was rushed to the Intensive Care Unit of a Lagos hospital where she received treatment for some days before she gave up the ghost yesterday morning.
Following her death on Saturday, Bimbo’s sister, Mama Jazz accused the car dealer of killing his wife after suffering domestic violence for 22 years of their marriage.
Mama Jazz, who broke down in tears while mourning her sister, claimed that IVD pushed Bimbo into the fire, watched her burn, and also made a video of her burning in the fire.
But IVD denied the allegations in a series of posts shared on his Instagram page, where he also narrated his own side of the story with evidence.
He also shared videos of his deceased wife damaging his cars and properties, alleging that she was fond of unleashing violence anytime they quarreled.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Oyindamola Martins said his family members did everything possible to keep Bimbo away from IVD but she kept on going back to him.
Bimbo’s brother disclosed this while replying to an Instagram user who asked why they didn’t make her leave the toxic marriage instead they let her die.
Martins explained that it all started when Bimbo met Ikechukwu when she was 18 years old. He said his sister had given IVD all her school fees and eventually dropped out of school.
He further stated that after several failed warnings for them to stop seeing each other, Bimbo’s family took her to Abuja to live. However, IVD contacted her and told her that he was going to kill himself if she did not come back.
He said Bimbo ran down to Lagos to be with him. Oyindamola added that their family even offered to pay IVD money to stay away from young Bimbo at the time, but they continued their relationship.
Martins said his family members believe Bimbo and IVD had a blood covenant because she kept going back to him even with all that was going on.
Bimbo’s brother wrote: “We did everything this matter didn’t start from now it started from when she was 18 years dropping out of school and giving him all her school fees was just a kid then she’s older than me with 10 years we locked him up offered to pay him to stay away from her he did not agree till he got her pregnant we took her to another state he sent her a message that he was going to die if she didn’t come back she ran from abj to Lagos we still took her to rehab.
“The truth is she been in this since she was 18years we are suspecting they took a blood convent cause she kept running back to him. Ivd is known for busting different herbalist I have proof too.
“I have explained countless on this comment section how do you think an entire family would just watch one of us suffer, we took her to rehab took her to another state we locked him up, she stole from us to feed him when he had no money she was 18 when she ran out of the house with him.
“Funny how we did this lol Abimbola how were you this stupidly in love? she dropped out of school and gave this fool all her school fees”
KanyiDaily had also reported how a Nigerian woman, Rosemary Nkiruka left her abusive marriage after her husband, Obarijima Yorgba, allegedly beat her like a common criminal.
