When Ajebutter22 dropped his sophomore album in 2017, What Happens In Lagos, his main aim was to represent what living in the megacity feels like. Now, he’s carried that energy into 2019 with “Lagos Love“, a love letter to the city and his lover.
On the Spax-produced “Lagos Love”, Ajebutter22 compares the way he feels about his girl with the special little things people who live in Lagos can appreciate, such as small chops at a wedding or finding plantain chips in traffic.
For the accompanying video, which was directed by Prodigeezy, Ajebutter22 takes to the streets of the heart of the city, Lagos Island, where he and his lover amourously play around, bringing together the two facets of the song’s subject matter.
