Eight victims have died while many others sustained varying injuries as a result of the building collapse in the Miga local government area of Jigawa State.

Chairman of the Council, Adamu Sarki Miga confirmed this when he paid a condolence visit to the families of the deceased in Miga Town.

He said those who died are Asabe Yusif, Sani Muhammad, Munkaila Musa, Basiru Safiyanu, Hassan Yusif, and Huwaira Ibrahim.

Miga added that the incident had also killed 17-year-old Zainab and two-year-old Abdullahi Salisu all of Miga town.

He explained that the victims lost their lives following a heavy downpour that caused building collapse and submergence of farmlands.

The chairman, however, prayed for Allah SWA to grant their souls eternal rest and the families the fortitude to bear the loss.

Recall that seven persons lost their lives, and many were injured as a result of the building collapse in the state.
