Barcelona vs Liverpool: Van Gaal ‘Reveals’ Team That Will Be Easier For Ajax To Beat In CL Final

Former Manchester United manager, Louis van Gaal, has said that Ajax will find it easier beating Barcelona in the final of the Champions League than Liverpool.

Ajax have beaten Real Madrid and Juventus on their way to the semi-finals of the competition.

They also defeated Tottenham 1-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the semi final first leg on Tuesday night.

Van Gaal had already predicted that Ajax can beat Tottenham in the semi-final tie.

The Dutchman admitted, however, that playing in the final would be a completely different scenario.

Barca and Liverpool are in the other semi-final and Van Gal said that Ajax have a better chance of winning the Champions League if they take on Barcelona.

“It depends who goes through”, Van Gaal told Dutch broadcaster NOS when asked whether Ajax can win the Champions League.

“They can against Tottenham. Ajax play great football and are one of the nicest teams to watch in Europe.

“In the final, Ajax have a better chance against Barcelona than against Liverpool.”
