After slamming Russia with loads of sanctions, French President Emmanuel Macron spoke with President Vladimir Putin on Monday.
According to Elysee Palace, the phone conversation lasted for 90 minutes.
Macron also spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Monday.
Macron said he pressed for the “need to implement an immediate ceasefire.”
Russia’s so-called special military operation in UK entered its fourth day on Monday.
Russia and its leaders have been punished with sweeping sanctions across Europe and West—for invading Ukraine.
On-the-ground reports also indicate Putin’s design on Ukraine is not working as he planned.
