Director of Operations, Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) has been killed by gunmen who invaded his house at Barakallahu community in Igabi Local Government Area.

A report by the Daily Trust stated how the attackers first staged a hoax by disrupting a nearby community before they went in for Malam Dauda.

It was also gathered that the gunmen attacked a nearby community probably to divert the attention of members of the community as they conducted their nefarious act. There was however no casualty recorded in the attack on the community.

“This is simply a case of assassination because they only went to the victim’s house, killed him and left the community,” the newspaper quoted a community leader as saying.

According to him, they did not take anything in his house; nor did they attack the guard and his wife.

“Even in the other village that was attacked, no life was lost, they just caused commotion and left, we feel they just did that to make it look like an attack.”

The Kaduna police command has yet to issue an official statement.Pix for illustraion
