The Senator-elect for Osun East Senatorial District, Prince Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi has asked members of the Osun State chapter of All Progressives Congress(APC) not to rejoice over the nullification of Senator Ademola Adeleke’s governorship candidature by an Abuja Federal High Court.
In a statement by his Media Assistant, Sam Segun-Progress, Fadahunsi described the court judgment nullifying the nomination of Senator Nurudeen Ademola Adeleke as the Governorship flagbearer of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the September 22, 2018 Osun State Governorship election as a temporary set back.
The judgment cannot stand superior legal scrutiny as there is an earlier decided case in a Court of the same appellate power that cleared him to contest the election, he stated.
He added that the matter is subject to appeal before higher Court of appellate jurisdiction. And he is convinced that Senator Adeleke would triumph at the higher appellate level.
He asked rhetorically that can the All Progressives Congress (APC) benefit from PDP internal party affairs ? What is their gain ? Is it only Adeleke that was on the ticket? What of Hon. Abiodun Adeogun who ran as Deputy with him?
He added that members of APC in Osun State should as a matter of fact know that if Senator Adeleke has been destined to rule Osun State as a Governor, no jupitar or manuoevers and conspiracy can change it.
He therefore decries the action of the Osun State members of APC in rejoicing over the judgment.
