LaLiga Welcomes Sevilla New Signing Kanu

Organisers of the Spanish men’s top flight LaLiga has welcomed Super Falcons forward Uchenna Kanu to the country’s women’s league who joined Sevilla Ladies, Completesports.com reports.

Kanu was unveiled by Sevilla on Tuesday after Joining from American college Southeastern Fire for the remainder of the season.

Commenting on a photograph of Kanu and officials of Sevilla published on their verified Twitter handle, LaLiga wrote: “Welcome to #PrimeraIberdrola!”

Kanu now joins Falcons teammates Asisat Oshoala of Barcelona and Rita Chikwelu of Madrid, in the Spanish women’s league.

The 22-year-old could make her debut for Sevilla on Saturday against Oshoala’s Barcelona.

Sevilla will hope to inflict Barcelona’s first defeat of the season after 17 league games.

Sevilla are currently 11th on 18 points and are six points away from the drop zone, in the 16-team league table.
