Since Reminisce‘s phenomenal debut performance in Kemi Adetiba’s critically acclaimed sophomore film, King of Boys — he played Maka, the villainous hustler willing to cross any line to secure the bag — we’ve grown rather attached to Reminisce‘s gangster persona.
In the music video for his latest track, “Oja”, Reminisce returns to that mobster role, leading a gang of women to fiscal victory.
On the Sarz-produced track, Reminisce reminds us that he is only in this game for the money. Through suit fittings and wasteful spraying of pounds and dollars, the acclaimed rapper illustrates his affinity for wealth in the accompanying clip.
The TG Omori-directed video for “Oja” also depicts a rather gripping mafioso storyline, which begins with a group of badass women cruising through Lagos‘ waters with their newly (and probably illegally) acquired wealth.
Upon arrival at a remote beachside location, Reminisce’s gang members find him in an isolated safe house. They share the bundles of foreign currency with their boss, who later decides to bury some cash for the future — very Pablo Escobar.
