While it’s not uncommon to see collaborations between Nigerian and international artists, we’ve certainly seen a massive boom in the past two years, owing greatly to the likes of Wizkid and Davido, who are both dutifully leading the charge.

Davido, in particular, is currently worming his way into the US market, with his 2017 hit, “Fall”, gaining steady traction on their airwaves. Following this, he just recently teased a potential collaboration with Grammy winners, Timbaland and Ludacris.

We know that Davido is currently working on his sophomore album in America, as his manager announced it on Instagram a few days ago. Thus, he’s probably enlisted these two big artists for the album, and we honestly can’t wait.

Timbaland is one of the most renowned music producers in the world, and he has worked with global superstars such as Beyoncé, Missy Elliot, Nelly Furtado and many others. Ludacris is also super popular and was one of everyone’s faves in the noughties.

Ordinarily, we wouldn’t hold our breaths for Davido’s album release, as we’ve been disappointed by the afropop star way too many times now. However, we’re getting a little excited for this one, as we can see tangible progress being made.
