Sequel to peace that has returned to the ancient city of Ilesa, Osun state, Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on Monday ordered the immediate reopening of the three higher institutions of learning owned by the state.

The governor had last week Monday asked the management of the Osun State College of Education, Ilesa, the Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa and the Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke, to shut down the schools following the unwarranted destruction of public property by irate members of the public in Ilesa owing to the crisis between the residents and Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company.

On Monday, the governor ordered for the reopening of the institutions and that academic activities should commence immediately.
