Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice as Arsenal came from behind to beat Chelsea 2-1 and secure a record 14th FA Cup title in Saturday’s final played in Wembley stadium.
The win for Arsenal means the Gunners will qualify for the Europa League, despite missing out via the league route.
Also, Arsenal are now the first side to beat the same opponent on three separate occasions in an FA Cup final (2002, 2017, 2020 all against Chelsea).
It was a forgettable final for Chelsea who lost skipper Cesar Azpilicuerta, Christian Pulisic and Pedro to injuries and has Mateo Kovacic sent off.
Chelsea took the lead in the fifth minute through Christian Pulisic’s smart finish after he was set up by former Arsenal player Olivier Giroud.
Aubameyang drew Arsenal level from the penalty spot on 28 minutes after he was fouled by Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta.
Chelsea were hampered by a first-half injury as Azpilicueta was forced off in the 35th minute.
Just four minutes into the second half Chelsea suffered another setback with Pulisic going off with a hamstring injury.
In the 67th minute Aubameyang made it 2-1 after he turned Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma inside out before chipping over keeper Willy Caballero from an angle.
Chelsea’s agony increased further when Matteo Kovacic was sent off on 73 minutes for a second yellow card.
And in the closing stages of the game substitute Pedro Rodriguez was also forced off with a shoulder injury.
