Breaking: Kaduna Lawmakers Exchange Heavy Blows Over Impeachment Of Deputy Speaker(Videos)

June 11th was an eventful, and no doubt physically challenging day for speakers in the Kaduna House Of Assembly.

Videos are already making the social media rounds, displaying the Representatives of various Kaduna local government areas exchanging blows.

The cause? The impeachment of former Deputy Speaker of the House, Muktar Hazo, in favour of Isaac Auta.

“The honorable Members of Kaduna Legislature elected Dr Isaac Auta zankai from Kauru LGA Zone 3 as the Deputy Speaker”, Kaduna House of Representatives revealed via Twitter yesterday.

“Moments ago, Twenty four out of the 34 Honorable members of the Kaduna House of Assembly impeached the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Mukhtar Isah Hazo following a vote of no confidence passed on him during today’s sitting 11th day of June, 2020”, Kaduna House of Reps tweeted yesterday.

What seemed like a peaceful routine degenerated into blatant disagreement and the use of fists rather than words. See videos:
