Manchester United new boy Odion Ighalo has told every football fan that their health and overcoming the Coronavirus comes before anything else.
The Nigerian moved to Old Trafford on loan in January in what was a surprising move.
But he has immediately found his goalscoring touch which has allowed United to go on an impressive unbeaten run.
The club are still competing in the Premier League, FA Cup and in Europe, but all football has come to a halt amid the spread of Covid-19.
Ighalo has said he is eager to get back playing but emphasised the importance of dealing with the global pandemic.
He said: “Of course I miss football, like other players and fans. But lives matter.

“Staying safe and alive is our biggest game in the world now — and we all have a role to play in it.
“Football has to take a back seat all over the planet at the moment and that is very undertandable.
“Coronavirus is affecting all countries, across all continents. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this pandemic and to the families who have lost loved ones.
“But I know we will beat coronavirus and I urge people to remain positive.”
The Premier League has said fixtures will not resume until April 30 at the earliest.
Binning off domestic cups is reportedly an option being considered while UEFA are trying to find ways to conclude their two club competitions following the postponement of Euro 2020.
And the United forward hopes the unity that comes from scoring in football can be used to beat coronavirus.
“We all celebrate together when a goal is scored in football,” Ighalo continued. “We can all share in the optimism that we will soon celebrate the end of Covid-19.
“Very soon we will all be together to do the things that unite us in this beautiful game. This tough time will pass and light will shine upon us all again — to share in the love and happiness football brings.”
