Meanwhile, Norwich face tough trip to Millwall and Sheffield Wednesday host Sheffield United in the steel City derby
Leeds United must get over their recent slump if they are to get back on top of the table this coming weekend in the 35th round of matches in the EFL Championship, English club football’s second tier. On Friday night (1 March) Leeds host West Brom, while the following afternoon league leaders Norwich are at Millwall. And on Monday evening, it is the Steel City derby between Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United.
First things first
Before you go any further, head on over to the Oddsshark website, find your favourite betting site and get your own account up and running using your credit card. As a new customer and with the EFL Championship campaign well over halfway through, there should be a wide range of promotions and special offers available to you.
Where should I be investing my money?
First up, the Friday night clash between Leeds and West Brom. Leeds dropped points away to QPR in midweek and are now two points off the top of the table, down in third place – they are priced at 3.75 to win the EFL Championship league title.
West Brom, by way of comparison, are also coming into this match on the back of a loss, having been beaten 1-0 by Sheffield United last time out. They currently sit fourth in the table and are at 2.50 to win promotion back to the FA Premier League at the first attempt.
And while the betting is close in this match, it is Leeds who come in as the favourites to take all three points. You can more than double your money by backing the home side to win at 2.25, while West Brom are at 3.40 to do the same – a draw would appear to be the least likely outcome and is priced accordingly at 3.50, according to Oddsshark.
And home advantage could be a deciding factor in this clash. A narrow, 2-1 win for Leeds comes in at 9.00, meaning that a US$5 bet would lead to a US$45 pay out, while you could quadruple your money by backing a combo bet of a Leeds win, coupled with both teams to score, at 4.00.
Norwich face tough test on the road at Millwall
The following day, league leaders Norwich head to the Den to take on Millwall. The London club have lost their last two league outings in a row and sit just four points above the drop zone – they are at 11.00 to fall through the trap door come the end of the season.
Norwich, meanwhile, are top of the pile after winning their two most recent league outings. With a two-point advantage over their rivals, the Canaries are now the favourites to win the league title at 2.25.
They are also the favourites to win this encounter and you can more than double your money by backing them to do so at 2.10. Millwall, despite home advantage, are out at 3.40 to take the points, the same price as a draw.
We are expecting Norwich’s recent good form to continue here. A narrow, 1-0 win for the visitors comes in at 8.00, while you can double your money by backing a “No” to both teams scoring at 2.00.
Wednesday and United lock horns in Sheffield derby
And finally, Monday Night Football comes from the city of Sheffield this week, with Wednesday hosting United in the Steel City derby. Sheffield Wednesday are in excellent recent form and have gone seven league games unbeaten – a win here could take them into the top half of the table, depending on how other results go.
United, by way of comparison, have gone six league games unbeaten and are second in the table, just two points off first spot. The Blades are at 3.50 to win the league crown come the end of the season in May.
Again, the betting is close but it is United who come in as the favourites to win. You can more than double your money by backing the visitors to claim local bragging rights at 2.05, while Wednesday, despite home advantage, are out at 3.40 to do the same – again, a draw comes in highest of all at 3.50.
And we think that Wednesday’s form could hold firm. A 2-1 win for the home side is priced competitively at 12.00, thereby offering more than a ten-fold return on any investment, while you can double your money by backing over 2.5 goals in the game at 2.00.
